Pope Marinus IV
Pope Marinus IV was born Justin Francis Timon on New Rome. He apparently spent all of his early years on the planet, and was identified as a Gatekeeper at a very early age. He was raised within the ranks of the Gatekeepers, and showed a penchant for leadership very early on. He was raised to the position of Cardinal at the age of 35, and was assigned to administer the Cathedral Station at Britannia. He spent 15 years as administrator there before coming back to New Rome to serve as direct advisor to Pope Marcellinus II. After the death of Pope Marcellinus II, Cardinal Timon was raised to the position of Pope, and he chose the Regnal name of Marinus.
It is said that Pope Marinus II has never set foot on any planets other than New Rome and Earth; and only on Earth for his inauguration as Pope.
